About
Hey, I’m Alex, founder of On Golf In Canada - a free to access resource for those who love golf, golf travel, and golf course architecture. As a Canadian golfer, I love exploring new destinations, checking out golf courses both highly acclaimed and those off the beaten path. I designed this website to help others seek out inspiring golf designs. To weed out the noise from influencers pushing golf courses they are paid to showcase or get free golf to do so, and the rankings that sometimes ignore proper golf architecture. I’ve played 74 of the top 100 golf courses in Canada, and beyond that far more that may likely never see a rankings list due to their lack of proper exposure.

Unbiased Reviews
We aim to balance accessibility with architectural integrity to the greatest extent. Some courses will be extremely difficult bordering on impossible for some to get on and play - and we understand that some golfers may feel frustrated by this. We are committed to highlighting courses that offer accessibility whenever possible.
Although our perspectives may vary, we pledge to deliver an unvarnished and truthful representation on the absolute best golf courses in Canada. If a course is not featured here in these lists, there likely is a good reason why. Not every course here is going to be well suited to your 16-person buddy trip. That’s not the purpose of this website. Honest, comprehensive evaluations. That’s our pledge to the reader.
Course Profiles
Canada has a storied history with the game of golf. Some of the game’s greatest architects such as Harry Colt, C.H. Alison, Willie Park Jr., Alister MacKenzie, Stanley Thompson, Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, and Rod Whitman, have all worked on and shaped this country's best golf courses. It is our aim to detail their work so the reader may be captivated by the soul of their designs.
Some may be short and others long, but course profiles will generally include historical and architectural information, key factors to consider, as well as links to the best additional resources in independent golf media available today. A one-stop-shop for those looking for reliable information on the best golf courses in Canada.
